I found my creative outlet in interior design years ago then started to create art, primarily using collage. After attending an encaustic workshop in 2008, I was hooked on the medium. I have since studied with internationally renowned encaustic artists both in person and online. I continue to grow and evolve my practice, combining encaustic and other materials. I love the way the wax feels and smells, the versatility, layering and carving back, and the luminosity of the finished pieces. My inspiration comes from photographs taken from my travels, using the architecture as a starting point for my shapes. I then let the process, the materials and my intuition take over.
