Marvin Jones, a distinguished artist and educator, served as a professor of art at Cleveland State University from 1976 to 2004. Renowned for his expertise in printmaking, Jones also taught special topics courses and shared his knowledge as a visiting artist and lecturer at prestigious institutions like the Rhode Island School of Design and California State University.
Jones's artistic journey includes participation in over 500 group exhibitions worldwide and more than 75 solo exhibitions. His diverse body of work encompasses paintings, prints, drawings, and sculpture, which are housed in over 40 public collections. Drawing inspiration from the California Funk movement, Jones's art is characterized by a crafted, deliberate style infused with humor.
