Northeast Ohio native, Linda Mayer, studied fine art at Kent State University in Kent,
Ohio and Fontbonne University in St. Louis, Missouri. Her body of work is a meditative exploration of earth, sea and sky. Initially trained in both acrylic and oils Ms. Mayer discovered her true passion the day she first dipped her brush into molten encaustic wax. She has been working with this ancient medium ever since.
Ms. Mayer’s award-winning landscapes have been juried into numerous regional and national exhibitions. Her work can be found in private collections across the United States, as well as the permanent collection of the Museum of Encaustic Art in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Ms. Mayer resides in North Ridgeville and enjoys spending time with husband, Mark and their dog, Oliver.
